Last week I decided to spend a few days off on the small island of Isa Mujeres. It was recommended for its quiet scenery, beautiful beaches and relaxation. It did not disappoint! Here are 5 Things I love about Isa Mujeres
1. Punta Sur
Punta Sur is the highest part of the island, reaching 20 meters above sea level. It offers the best views of the Caribbean Sea, the bay of Cancun and the bay of Isla Mujeres, true beauties worthy of admiration. There is also the Sculptural Park that features colorful metal sculptures of contemporary art, as well as the Temple of the Mayan goddess Ixchel.
Mango Café is worth checking out. They offer delectable cuisine such as tasty coconut chicken, grilled bacon and breaded fish. Here you will be offered delicous French pancakes, caramel ice cream and stuffed pancakes. Come to this spot for delicious tequila, Mimosas or margaritas. Take your chance to taste great mexican coffee, French coffee or fruit juice.
3. Horse Bike Riding
Explore the forest of the Yucatan while in the saddle of one of Mexico's spirited horses for an exciting trail ride. There is no better way to see the beautiful flora and fauna of this region than on horseback.
4. Playa Norte
Playa Norte is characterized by extending in the form of a bay, one kilometre in length. This creates the sensation that we are facing an immense swimming pool of crystal clear waters. On the beach itself, you find all kinds of conveniences: restaurants, beach bars, street vendors, water activities, hammocks and even a restaurant service. Swimming in the sea will also be a delight, as on this type of shallow beach you can walk endlessly in the water.
5. Playa de Centro
Stroll through the colorful and bustling streets of Playa El Centro, and enjoy an ice cream or cold drink as you explore the heart of Isla Mujeres. The colorful shops, decorated with mix-matched ceramics and full of vibrant clothing, make great IG content.
Whether you take my advice or explore on your own, Isla is one place in the Caribbean you can't miss! So hope on a ferry in Cancun and see what the Island has to offer.
